Though we travel the world over to find the beautiful,
we must carry it with us
or we find it not.
Ralph Waldo Emerson
For many years (over 20) I have been professionally helping others through times of uncertainty, pain, and suffering; and have interacted with people of diverse backgrounds and with diverse needs. With a holistic and developmental approach, I enjoy helping persons of all ages from the young child to the elderly with varied emotional and mental health needs and diverse areas of pain and suffering. I started out in the Social Work field, having studied at Cairn University and then later on completed graduate studies in Professional Counseling at the same university. I am licensed by the state of Pennsylvania.
I am a member of the ACA (American Counseling Association) and the IATP (International Association of Trauma Professionals).
Presently, I have a private practice through which I provide direct services as well as work in collaboration with and through other organizations. Services are provided within my own community and internationally.
- counseling for mental health, spiritual, and emotional well-being
- specialized psychotherapy for trauma, child welfare (foster care, adoption), grief and loss, and crisis intervention and de-escalation.
- EAP counseling
- consultation and training to other professionals and organizations.
- in home/mobile services may be available.
