Out of Poverty

Thank-you for taking the time to look at this page. I am so honored and deeply appreciative of your interest in helping to carry out our passionate desire to help others in this way.

Both locally in my own community (through my work as a mental health therapist), and internationally during my trips to the Dominican Republic, I have seen those in great need who do not have access to adequate resources .  They fall in the gap of being in need without a means to get their needs met. Assisting with these needs evolved into the formation of Out of Poverty, a faith-based (Christ-centered) domestic nonprofit organization.

Out of Poverty ('OOP') is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization, incorporated in the state of Pennsylvania. OOP exists to bridge the gap.

More specifically (but not limited to) OOP:

- Assists orphanages and impoverished communities internationally who are not already receiving help and do not have adequate resources.

- Assists locally to enable reduced fees for counseling and to assist with identified physical needs of those receiving counseling.

- Assists in ways that are holistic and self-sustaining.

OOP  has no paid staff. Everything is done solely through volunteer time and donated funds and resources.

Feel free to contact me with any questions you may have.
